For its release Fin City has joined up with the well known manufacturer of finswimming equipment TRITON to offer all "active" members of Fin City a very special competition. You can win a monofin and even a hyperfin manufactured by TRITON!

The overall objective of the TRITON-Fin City competition is to attract new members to the Fin City website and encourage them to actively participate in the community life by contributing to the various sections of the community website. Every "active" member automatically participates in the competition.

But what is an "active" member?

At Fin City every member gets so called "Activity Points" for every activity he contributes to the community. Creating a wiki article, adding a link to the link list, adding an event to the event calendar, everything gets rewarded with points (for the exact distribution of points please consult the "Competition Rules" below!). Once a member reaches 30 activity points he becomes an active member and receives one "Competition Ticket". This already enables him to win the TRITON fins. To enhance his chances he can receive additional tickets by generating more activity points.

Rules and conditions for the TRITON - Fin City Competition

Activity Points are given as follows:

• 5 points for creating a wiki article. The article has to be accepted by the Fin City administrator. For an article to be accepted it will have to be composed according to the rules stated in the Wiki Manual.
• 3 points for setting up a account with Flickr to display the photographs stored in the Flickr storage at the Fin City photoalbum. (<< this feature is temporarly unavailable)
• 3 points for adding a link to the Fin City link directory.
• 2 points for posting a new topic, or replying to an existing one in the Fin City forum.
• 2 points for setting ones residence in the the Fin City map section or adding a souvenir to the map.
• 1 point for adding a finswimming related photograph to the Fin City photoalbum.

Once a member has reached 30 activity points she/he becomes an "Active Member" and recieves a "Competition Ticket". This ticket enters her/him in the TRITON-Fin City competition. The member can recieve additional tickets by obtaining more activity points. For every 15 points she/he will recieve 1 additional ticket. The monofins donated by TRITON will be alloted between all competition tickets as follows:

• 1 monofin at the end of the first quarter of Fin Cities online presence (April the 30th, 2010).
• 1 hyperfin at the end of the calendar year 2010 (December the 31st, 2010).

Additional Details:

• Both fins will be delivered straight from the TRITON factory in the Ukraine to the respective winners.
• All tickets of the first part of the competition will stay in the competition for the final part, including the winning tickets.
• Members of the Fin City Team, employees of TRITON and their immediate family are excluded from this competition.
• The drawing of the winning tickets will be held for the monofin on the 1st of May 2010 and for the hyperfin on the 1st of January 2011.
• Winners will be notified by the Fin City Team via "Private Message" (this automatically includes a notification at the email address given at "Signing Up") and via the Fin City News board on the community homepage.
