Fin City Calendar

The Fin City Calendar will keep you up to date on all the important finswimming events throughout the year, all over the world.

If you want to add your event to the calendar you can either do so yourself or you post the event in the category Event Calendar in the Forum. The admins go through the forum on a regular basis and will add all important events to the calendar. Please refrain from putting events like club meetings, excursions, etc. in the calendar! We'd love to have these events in the forum though, so please feel free to enter and advertise them there. Though these things are certainly important to you and your club, they won't be interesting to most of the other members. Feel free to enter any championship, competition or other major event though. Here is a little guide how to do it.

Adding an Event

Visit the Calendar and click on "Add Event". The "Add New Event" window will open. Start with filling in a title for your event. Remember that the title should be meaningful. The other members should be able to gather straight away by reading the title what the event is all about. After that you click on the text field "Start Time". A little calendar will appear where you can enter the first day of your event. Click on the next text field and enter the last day, if your event takes place over several days. If not enter the same date as before. Make sure that the start time is before the end time! If you want you can add the time of the day for both days too. If not just leave them as they are set by default. If your event repeats state that in the next field. Now you can decide if the event should show up on a map. There is only two things left to do now. The first is to enter a description. Any additional information you can give will come in handy. You can use HTML which means if you know of a website that has more details about the event (like PDF-files for entry forms, directions, etc.) put a link in here. Please set the link so it opens in a new window! If you don't know how to do that follow the example below.

You can copy and paste this code into the "Description" text field - just change the values of the attributes (text in red) as required:

Next you enter the address where the event takes place (this is important if you want to show the location on a map). If you don't  want the other members to be notified of the event by e-mail you can uncheck the box and off you go! Click "Submit"! Done!
