Fin City "My Account" Page   Grou.ps Preferences Change Credentials Incoming Messages Invite People

The "My Account" page shows you the details of you Fin City account. This help manual will show you what you can access there, what you can do with it and how to change your account details.

Grou.ps

The default page for "My Account" is the grou.ps page. Here you can see what grou.ps you are a member of. The group that will certainly show up there is Fin City but you might be member of other groups that our host has to offer. You can access them all here. The first link in the menu on the right (My Groups) responds to this page.

Preferences

The next link in the menu takes you to your "Preferences" page. Here you can change a few settings like if you want to receive Forum Emails (saves you checking into the forum all the time to see if there are new posts) or your Twitter credentials. If you check the box "Tutorial Messages" (default is "checked") you will see a little bar on the top of the page (right undrneith the header) where you get information about your ActivityRank, Twitter status, photos, etc. 

Change Credentials

Here you can change your password and your email address. If you want to change your password just enter the old one and type in the new one. Confirm the new one, click the "Change My Password" button. Done! To change your email address, click on the link "Need to change email address?". Fill in the fields "Password" and "New Email" and click the "Change My Email" button. As yo can see, everything straight forward.  Don't forget that, if you've changed your email address you'll have to sign in with your new address next time.

Incoming Messages

This link will not only show you your incoming messages but also the ones you sent. As default the incoming messages are shown first. If you would like to see the ones you sent to other members, click on "View Sent Messages" just above the message field. There you'll also be able to change back to "View Incoming messages". Underneith every message you will find the links "Reply" (I don't think that merrits an explanation) and show conversation. That link will show you all the messages that have been sent or received in this particular conversation.

Invite People!

Here you can help making Fin City the biggest finswimming network on the net. Invite all your friends, familiy, club mates, etc. to Fin City. All you need is their email addresses. Enter them into the text field (if you got more than one, seperate them by comma) if you want write them something personal under "Need to add a private message?" and click "Submit".  Another way to support us in becoming the biggest finswimming community is the Share Widget.
